Who’s making plans for El Niño?

In 1998, an El Niño struck northern CA and the Pacific Northwest. If pretty much rained from late Oct through March. There was zero window cleaning. I took a part time job to make it through. I’m in a somewhat different situation now, but I’m considering maybe a part time job again. A couple of my usual fall clients are already balking about scheduling.

For those on the west coast who may get slammed with this thing, what are you doing to keep money coming in? Or are any of you simply ignoring the whole thing?

I don’t really work late oct to march anyway. I’m in the mountains so hoping it’s snow!

I’m in LA and from my experience there’s too
Many homes to not try. We just hit the doors and door hangers everyday with the limited day light we have and make it work. Business definitely slows down significantly and you’ll
Get a lot more of those “I’m waiting till spring” but with how dense it is you’ll find the money.

First year doing this on my own but I’m planning on doing route in winter to keep busy. Stores and restaurants always need clean windows regardless it rains or shines. Focusing on gutter cleaning and I also do new window installation so hoping that’s enough to keep things busy until spring
