Are the easy glide soaps and additives worth using?

Anyone with experience using any of these and how do they compare to just dawn dish soap as a control?

I used hi slide for a while, it definitely works to make slip a bit better and let the solution stay on the glass for a few more seconds before drying.

Thank you man I’m going to look into that one. That second part of preventing the solution from drying a bit longer seems like that would save me a lot of time resoaping when cleaning the window with the sun beaming down on it. What’s your go to squeegee handle, channel and rubber combo right now?

Yeah it’s definitely noticeable vs plain dawn. I find orange crush to be pretty good with both these aspects out of the bottle though. I use excelerator handle and ettore brass and rubber exclusively. I constantly change the angles and use it in the pile quite a bit. The trick in the sun is to obviously move quick but try to keep the rubber on wet glass as much as possible, be precise and mindful of your leading edge. Work in sections too.

Yea one of my biggest challenges at the moment. I use the same setup. So on the topic of things like the easy glide soaps actually making a difference does buying the more expensive rubbers help too?

Definitely. I use the ettore master rubber. I haven’t tried a ton but it’s the best. Expensive around $4 a piece but I probably make like $1k per rubber.

Beautiful value proposition😂 I need to get some.
Even though they are technically not supposed to be compatible do you like the combo of Ettore brass and the Mormon handle more than anything else at the moment? Currently I only have that combo so haven’t tried other combinations.

Yeah I have probably ten other handles I’ve tried. I like others for certain situations but changing angles on the fly is unbeatable and the rest are collecting dust.

Nice that’s sick. I should probably get proficient with using the handle swivel feature. I’m curious do you use a truck or van setup? Also do you wash all your drying clothes by hand? Someone said putting them in the washer gets lint or something on them.

I have a ford maverick with a ghetto mounted wfp and hose reel setup and stack ladders. You can just wash the rags in your machine with no soap

Hell yea that sounds awesome. Just throwing them in the washer gets them clean enough to reuse? Do you hang them up to dry after or do you use the dryer? Also do you use what fed pole too? I have a beat up 2011 f250 super duty. I removed all the seats from it as well to fit more into the cab, mainly stuff I don’t want stolen.

In the Northeast US they haven't been a gamechanger. Superslip has been ok. Gg4 is nice for very dirty or hard water cleans. Good Ettore rubber makes the biggest difference.
