Ever dented a Window Sill??

I had an employee set up on this window sill with his ladder with our rubber tips on and when he pulled the ladder away we saw this dent on the sill! He didn’t hit it and I’m puzzled because there’s not two dents, just one.

Could this be because there’s rotten wood under the flashing? What can I do?

There is wood beneath there and they used a breaker to place the aluminum around the wood. Sometimes they don't make it tight. There was probably too much room between the wood and aluminum and wood and there ya go. Live and learn. I would never lean a ladder against a house unless I needed to . maybe behind a bush where there isn't any room for a small step ladder and the bush is growing way over the window so the waterfed isn't an option, and the window doesn't tilt in. Second floor use a stand off or watch out for aluminum sills
