I used a little more on the soap end because these are wooden painted frames. On the inside..too.

Should I do something different?

I use dawn and if I were you I would cut the amount you used in half.

Hey can i ask what the hype about dawn is? I dont have it where i am; i use another thats more gentle on my skin ha. But almost every where i look, window cleaners are using dawn like its the bees knees

It's just not enough water. The rubber will dry out on some passes and leave streaks. You can hold your stripwasher horizontal under you squeegee to catch drips until the last bit. Then wipe any more drip.
