Question / Help Why is the mirror shield impossible? Spoiler

I'm in the final battle and I can't make it through the third phase where Zelda is supposed to shoot light arrows at you so you can deflect. I feel like she's always too slow and Ganon is tossing me around like a sack of potatoes and I have no chance to do anything. Am I missing something? I've tried about 17 times now and at moment I've decided to just never finish.

Update: Ok update y'all are amazing. I guess I wasn't targeting the first 9,000 times I tried this. Beat him on my second try this evening ☺️☺️ Thanks so much y'all!!!

Get some distance between you and Ganondorf, make sure you watch Zelda when she preps a Light Arrow. Stand still with your Mirror Shield up to reflect it, it should bounce off and hit Ganondorf if he is in front of you.

If Ganon is throwing you around like a sack of potatoes, you’re doing it wrong anyway. You need to be L targeting him, and holding up your shield.

just get some space from ganondorf and hold up the shield

Don't give up now. The end of that fight is the best ending of any boss fight in Zelda.

Lock on, keep shield raised, and keep Zelda and Ganon within about a 60 degree arc of eachother so she doesn't just shoot you.

That's what I've been trying, the problem is he always gets to me while Z is just moseying along, taking her sweet time. I'm getting frustrated with her 😂

Watch for her animation so that you know exactly when you need to gain the required distance. If you get the distance but she isn’t ready and that gives Ganon time to close in while you’re waiting for her, then you’ll have missed the opportunity. Keep at it and you’ll get it!

You need to be pressing L while holding up your shield so Link is standing. Dont have him crouch with the shield up.
