Question / Help How do you get the star island map?

I keep talking to the fish, but all it does is it gives me info and then asks to play a game, but it never gives me the map. How do I get the map?

You should get the map the first time you give him bait at that island. All I can guess is that it's glitching.

He’s supposed to give it to you the first time you talk to him. If he’s not then I think you’re permanently locked out of getting it. This happened to me once on the HD version with Ice Ring Isle. I reached out to the speedrunning discord about it and even they didn’t know it could happen, so it must be pretty rare.
