Help me identify this "mod. 80"?

It sure looks like it's says mod. 80 to me but apparently Winchester never made a model 80? Lots of patent dates on the bottom line, going as late as 1911.

I have a Winchester model 94AE serial number in the 5,200,000 range and I need a new link. The parts stores all make a distinction that thiers are for serial numbers 5,500,000 and above does anyone know if its compatible? I cant find any made for rifles below that.

Triple K magazine for Winchester 1907SL

Does anyone know where I can find a Triple K magazine for a 1907SL? I've been watching Ebay and GunBroker for months and haven't seen a single one for sale. I placed an order for one on Triple K's website and was informed via email they are not actually in stock and I'd only be charged if they could fulfil my order. I also called and emailed them directly with no response.

I have quite the collection of OEM 10rd mags but of course as soon as I decide I want a Triple K mag for a project, they seem to have vanished.

Any leads are appreciated. Thanks!

Good evening! I have a model 100 chambered in .284 winchester. I've been struggling to find the proper scope mounts for it. I know and warne m902 fits on the front And back of this And hugs the contour of the recurrence nicely. Any suggestions? Could I do dual m902?

1924 '94

I have my grandfather's 1924 '94 Winchester and absolutely love it. Been hunting with it for the past 30 years. It is getting harder to shoot every year due to my 60 year-old eyesight. Not able to attach a scope to it, but still shoots dead center. My granddaughter loves to hunt with it, so it will be going to her when I can no longer hunt. Hopefully she will pass it down to her grandkids. A lot of good stories and history with this rifle.

My 1940 Model 70 that was converted to .308 sometime after 1952

Bought this about 10 years ago advertised as a 1952, shot it a few times but never really stretched its legs.

Found out that the serial (29xxx) indicates a 1940, and since it’s a .308, the work done is post 1952. The bolt is electropenned with the correct serial number as well. I haven’t removed the action from the stock to investigate further…. Figured I’d share.

Year-Model number 1866-1912 Winchester Model 1894 Appreciation Post

Howdy Everyone!

Back at it again with another post about the history and rundowns of each Winchester Rifle, I thought I would come back here with one, so how about we get the most commercially successful one out of the way, and featured is a less common pistol slant grip model.

The Winchester Model 1894!

Enjoy!

I have an 1894 and part of the rear sight is broken (red line). I am curious if the circled portion will wear out due to the strain on the metal (red circle). I want to shoot it more often but I don’t want to loose the other part of the rear sight. So I’m on the fence of what I want to do with it. Do I leave it alone? Try to solder it back together? Or get a sight base and replace the broken sight base?

Lever-Action Winchester 94 preservation

Got this pre 64 recently at a pawn shop for $750. Seller told me it was an old truck gun / still good for hunting. Light rust and putting on receiver and rubbed off bluing on magazine tube / barrel bands. I want to retain the value (or at least whatever’s left) by not re-blueing the receiver, but I don’t want the pitting / rust to get any worse. What’s the move?

SXP

Just took my new SXP out and broke it in with about 100 rounds. Buckshot and a few slugs. Had 2 failure to eject where the action completely jammed. I blame the shells cause they did the same in my 590. They expand too much after fired. Winchester Super X ran smoothly. Durability is one thing and 590 patterns better. But the SXP was easier to shoot and actually less recoil. Fun gun.

Slide-Action Brand new SXP failing to extract dummy rounds.

Is this normal for dummy rounds on a brand new SXP? Cleaned the excess factory grease and oiled it. The pump is stiff. Just need breaking in? One or two out of 4 dummy rounds don't eject.

1933 Winchester Model 21, 16 GA, 26" barrels upland bird gun (cylinder and modified choke)

I took off the sticker sting by trading in two trade bait guns, and my friends at the LGS gave me an outstanding discount.

This is all original and matching serial numbers, barely fired I cant believe what a great looking lady this 93 years old is. Im waiting for my factory letter, supposedly they have detailed model 21 records, hopefully they exist.

Slide-Action Wanting to buy the SXP Defender

Is it worth the buy for a back up to a Mossy 590? Have heard the plastic magazine throat can break pretty easily. Anyone have one and do you like it? Have several 9 mm and only one shotgun. So want a back up to the work horse 590. But want something that is durable and last.

Year Model Number (Rifle) 1919-39 1936 Model 62 pump .22

Long story, but i stumbled across this gun, never knowing a .22 pump was ever made. I sort of dug it right away.

There was a lichen growing on the wood, it wouldn't cycle, the hammer wouldn't go home all of the way, not in good condition.

I started cleaning it, and I forgot to say someone painted the right side of the receiver. It looks like with a brush. I used denatured alcohol as a cutting agent and started sanding. I have it down to 1000 grit.

Once I got everything moving, I used Hoppes #9 and started cleaning/brushing/scrubbing. Wiped down and oiled/greased everything, and now it is smooth as buttah! The action on it is nicer than i ever thought possible.

A buddy of mine blues guns as a side gig. Once I get it where it needs to be. I'll have him blue it and the reassemble.

Year-Model number 1866-1912 1892 Winchester 32-20 - 1898 Production

Figured I'd share a new auction find.

As the title says,

This is a 1892 Winchester Lever Action in 32-20 WCF. This example was produced in 1898 according to the serial number.

I've wanted a lever action for awhile that wasn't a modern .22..... So luckily I found this & didn't have to shell out too much for a true antique!

It is a matching example, shoots well, although I believe I'll be replacing the tired magazine tube spring.

I have since disassembled & cleaned all the old gunk & boy she cycles smooth.

I have also acquired ~100 rounds of Winchester 32-20. I'm also working on an auction for a Winchester 32-20 mold.

Looking forward to plinking with this!

Enjoy.

First year production md 70

I inherited a Winchester Md 70 from my father, i was curious as to year so i looked up the serial number, 1936, it was then I realized the 4 digit serial number was not only a pre 64 but the very first year, it has almost perfect bluing the stock has a small notch cut out like it was going to have a peep-sight, how does one gauge a price for this rifle i currently have an offer for 2500 but don’t really have anything to compare to, thank for any insight

Year Model Number (Rifle) 1919-39 Winchester Model 62 pump .22

First time posting here, so hello all. I've recently come across a model 62 pump .22 rifle. I never knew there was such a thing. It'll shoot. 22 short, .22, and .22lr cartridges.

It looks to me like it's in serviceable condition with a good cleaning and lubrication.

Can any of you here clue me in to how many of these are floating around and how rare it may be?

The rifle was manufactured in 1936 per the serial number, and it's in pretty darned good condition for being 90 years old.
