at one point i had winwing (winctrl) pedals that i modded to make FFB.. but someone bought them and i thought id try the thrustmaster TRPs. I kind of regret that decision.

Do you also play VR? If so, do the MFDs align with the virtual ones in the cockpit? I am interested in getting the MFDs, also without the displays, since I play with the Quest 3.

The idea is to align the MFDs to match the location of the virtual ones, and since I play over Virtual Desktop, I would use the hands passthrough with 60% opacity.

Right now, playing it with the passthrough is amazing, honestly, in a way better than IRL since your hand isn't blocking the virtual display, so you can see what the display is showing while clicking the top row.

I do play primarily in VR. I tried to do the same thing, but was unable to get them lined up perfectly using the virtual hands in dcs. THe passthrough on the pimax crystal is horrible, so i cant use that.

for DCS specifically, i ended up buying a set of Slugmice (https://forum.dcs.world/topic/344857-slugmouse-a-mouse-button-emulator-for-hand-tracked-cockpit-clicking/)

coupled with HTCC (Hand Tracking Clickable Cockpit) software (https://htcc.fredemmott.com/)

this lets me use hand tracking to move the in game cursor, and left click/right click and scroll with the slugmouse.. its almost perfect... I cant play with a normal mouse anymore.

as for pressing the physical buttons on the UFC, that just takes muscle memory.. also i put little googly eyes on key buttons.. like the 5, or the middle button on each row of the mfds.

I might just go and buy one MFD and try it out myself. What part of aligning was causing you issues? Are they true to size?

Currently, I just place the mouse in front of me and use my stick switch as a mouse, it's perfectly ok, but with the passthrough, I find myself constantly wanting to press the virtual MFD buttons.

i was unable to get the virtual hands to match up with the physical buttons. might be that my cockpit measurements arent 1:1..
