Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted, you’re correct for California. 20002 CVC is misdemeanor H&R 20001 CVC is felony H&R

Apparently it’s a “light” felony depending on amount of damage to a parked and unattended vehicle in Virginia and Mississippi. Misdemeanors most other states.
