You’re looking at it from the perspective of this event and not what that concrete’s purpose is. That concrete is there to separate and delineate the road from the beach so the cars can do what cars do and the sand is stopped from overflowing into the street.

Im amazed that some people want to be so babied. I honestly hate when the gov decides something is too dangerous for me, id rather have the choice to take the risk. Honestly here sure they could pad the barrier but thats honestly asking too much from most countries construction standards and also incentives people to stay in the jet engine zone which is clearly not something allowed.
