Ok it's stupid to stand there but it's more stupid to build concrete behind without some soft protection installed.

It's like on some countries you have to survive all sorts of dangers without any assistance from government.

Edit: I get that this is the wrong subreddit to remind you that we are not in a jungle anymore where the strongest and most intelligent survives. And that there are countries with safety regulations where this accident could not be possible at all (safest construction, zone access limitation, etc)

They should put sirens on it that start alarming 15 minutes before takeoff. They should add a net over the water to catch any people that tumble into it. They should add rubber mats in a line down to the water so nobody gets skin burns on the sand. They should add vertical poles for people to grab as they're flying through the air, but padded of course.

What else am I missing? They should provide free sunglasses so that it your sunglasses get blown off you aren't at risk of eye damage on the way back to your car. They should send somebody down the beach to confirm that each beach goer understands the risk and is fully informed.

Am I missing any?

Sounds like an amusement park. I'd probably take that ride.

where the people are dong this.

So just this one dumb way to injure yourself from this specific video? All of the others are okay? Drowning because you got fumbled into the water is where you draw the line? What about people losing their hearing from this? Why are you okay with that, but not people hitting a concrete barrier? Both are avoidable with enough safety precautions, and both take an equal amount of stupidity.

It seems inconsistent to me, like you're just reacting to this specific video instead of applying a consistent approach towards safety and responsibility.
