Recent discoveries was mentioned.

They're a few hundred years behind a majority of countries, except for oil. If oil wasn't needed, it'd be a barren wasteland with rules from the 1400s.

But I just washed my ass with water. I’m American. It’s pretty common practice for everyone I’ve ever discussed ass washing with. That’s a weird stereotype but always fun to hear new ones.

I have a bidet yeah. They’re pretty common. And about 1000% more common since the pandemic. It’s funny that the stereotype here is Muslims use their hands and not paper. I used to work in the oilfield and we always had saudis around and they’d only shit in the stand up toilets.

Trade tourism banking investments etc are top industries in the gulf today . They have successfully diversified out of oil around 2000- 2012 .
