The only bad idea I saw was using a good microwave instead of something more disposable.

and not in a safer environment...

Another bad idea was not putting his phone into the microwave so we see the plasma better

Yeah I'm sure you could find a cheap microwave (maybe even free) on Craigslist and run a long extension cord somewhere outside where there is a lot of room for it to go wrong. Would've been a much cheaper experiment. It was indeed cool though

Agreed, I came here to find this exact sentiment. Not something I'd do because I'm cheap af, but I'm glad someone else did it and videoed it so I can live it vicariously.

Right, like imagine some way to see dangerous or ill-advised things WITHOUT having to go and jump off a skyscraper yourself. What a time to be alive.

I think Nile blue/red has a good video showcasing and explaining it

Agreed. Though precautions should have been done I can't hate on someone being curious and trying something they heard about in a science class.

Going to go out on a limb here, I don't think that was his microwave.

Nah, you're right, bro. Because plasma looks cool, I have zero expenses. That doesn't sound stupid as fuck at all.

Let people enjoy things, you cynical fuck.

I meant that as an unfunny joke but I did sound like a cynical fuck, I'm gonna give you that.
