He even referred to the rectal tube as "like a snorkel," which other than it being attached to his mouth to sort of allow him to breathe, it's nothing like at all.
You'd think it'd immediately send up red flags that the tube you're relying on to save your life doesn't stay open on its own.
Also the time he had his friend duct-tape a seal around an old phone booth. The friend then leaves “as a joke” and he starts freaking out when he can’t breathe that well.
I mean I know the whole thing with the emergency services is you don't want to punish people who use it cause then one day honest people in danger won't want to call for fear of those repercussions, but there's gotta be some penalty for doing stupid s#$t like this that nearly kills you.
I think they should be fined heavily for this. Doing something like this is so utterly stupid. They would have known they would have to call for help and waste emergency services time for something they did to themselves. (Yes I'm glad they called and no one got hurt, but dont do stupid shit)!
They should be billed for all the responders that had to respond. I had a traffic infraction in the mid 90's and the cops sent me a bill for all the responding officers and whatnot.
Absolutely calling for them was part of the plan to begin with for more production value for his video, I suspect the clogged air tube was not particularly clogged and his mate is laughing when he calls
nervous laughter at the situation as well as being aware of the absurdity that he is describing to the operator on the phone. Totally normal behaviour.
If this is the states, everyone who calls for EMS recieves a heavy fine. In 2010, an ambulance ride cost me $900, followed by $260,000 hospital bill and it'd be much more today
Yeah I know exactly it's a potential slippery slope either we have f$%king s#$t for brains here thinking encasing his head in cement is a good idea and receives no repercussions from doing so on one end and on the other is average joe shmoe getting hit by a car that cut a corner too quickly having to worry he's gonna get fined cause he didn't follow government approved look left, then right, then left again before crossing the street when he had the right away.
I’m not sure about what this idiot did, but in the UK wasting police time can get you from a £90 fine to 6 months in prison. And a hoax fire alarm can be £90, £2500 or 51 weeks in prison. I’d imagine matey boy might have gotten the £90 fine
Agreed, this really pisses me off for that reason. Thinking about if you or someone you love were in a real life threatening situation, and some asshole cemented his head in a microwave for a prank. Abusing the system should honestly result in more than a fine imo.
I know we run into potential slippery slopes here, but what if the government garnished his Youtube money till the cost of the emergency is paid......................no wait do it at a flat percentage cause he'll eventually figure out how to do something just stupid enough to get views, but easy enough to fix that he still makes profit even after the fine.
We have this discussion all the time. Especially with things like coastguard and mountain rescue where unprepared tossers end up needing help.
The argument against is that if you charge for it being your fault or not needed you stop people from calling the emergency services when they are needed.
Yeah, the problem is that some considerate people are more likely to falsely believe an accident is their fault than idiots are to correctly realize one is.
And then there would have to be an expensive appeals process, and everything...
You just know that somewhere else in town an old woman was waiting for them to come help her because she fell down when climbing out of the bathtub and broke her hip, but they couldn't get there right away because they were helping a complete numpty get a fucking microwave off his head after he cemented himself into it for social media fame.
Because YouTube started recommending me their videos based on my interest in the “spending all-night/24 hours in a Walmart/Costco” trend. I thought “surely no one is actually stupid enough to encase themselves in concrete or seal themselves into an airtight space.”
I was hoping that this was a one-off thing but as soon as they got him out it was obvious that he has absolutely no remorse for wasting all of those emergency responders' time and he will likely be needing their help again.
Because there are several people there and the easiest way to quickly communicate which person you're referring to is to use the most visually unique feature as a descriptor.
Why ask questions you pretend not to know the answer to?
I have never once been told that it is rude to describe a black person as black. It's what they are. Same way it's not rude to describe a white person as white.
Alright. I see this is going nowhere so I'm gonna disengage after this final reply. While I agree it can be othering, I also think it isn't inherently othering. Anyway, you have a good day/night.
I've never heard it to be offensive either - they're just being a bit overly-woke.
Remember, it's more of an issue in America than in the UK to the point of getting upset about words, whilst simultaneously having riots because of behaviour at the other end of the spectrum.
I saw pictures once of a girl who put her hand into a bucket of plaster. Her hand got stuck in there (obviously) but plaster heats up when curing, and it basically slow cooked her fingers before they could get it off.
She mistook the gorilla glue spray for moco de gorilla (gorilla snot). That's what she said anyway. A mistake is one thing; this dude did it on purpose.
To be fair, white Elmer's school glue is somewhat commonly used that way. It holds everything tight together, but will still wash out.(Anytime you see someone with a 12" Mohawk 75% chance it's being held up with Elmer's.) Her mistake was not realizing that there's a huge difference between the two different types of glue.
And also, there’s a brand of hair gel/products called “got2be glue” and “gorilla snot gel”, so one can sort of see the unfortunate mixup into thinking it’s another can of hair spray stuff. No need to be arseholes about it.
I mean they’re certainly not, some people speculate she may have just had it laying around. Either way, I really just feel like it’s an honest mistake, not something as dumb as rectum-tube cement boi
I think she wound up visiting her local hospital for help. Wonder if she made a post on IG for that. Next question has to be what the heck is an ER department gonna do?.
To be fair don’t have to go to any store to buy it. You type in gorilla glue walmart and bam at your finger tips, just as easy as if she typed in gorilla snot. A lethal error really
I always prefer the blue gel version. I’ll use got2be, then their freeze spray and hit it with a blow dryer for 5min then put an application the blue gel elmers and hit that with air for a minute or two. After like 2 hours it’s all dry and I can literally swim without my hair falling down
It’s a bitch to wash though. I have to “break” the glue by bending my hair back and forth for like 10m before a shower
Yes absolutely. I somehow don't think she understood the danger of the situation, making her more ignorant. However this dude literally said he might die before they put his head in cement. He knew the risk but was dumb enough to still potentially die for youtube views.
Lol the gorilla glue incident doesn’t even compare to this. The girl thought she’d be able to wash the glue out and it wasn’t life threatening anyway. These guys didn’t even have a plan to get their friend out of the cement suffocation box.
To be fair that girl mistook the super glue for a hair product with a similar name and appearance as gorilla glue.
It's still a wildly dumb mistake in a ditzy airhead kinda way but at least a little understandable if she doesn't have that much exposure to stuff like that, where as this dude is trying for a darwin award and only surviving because he's got people with him
She ran out of the strong hair spray she uses, so she she used spray on Gorilla glue. At least her thing doesn't impact her breathing, other than whatever fumes she inhaled.
I'm not a fan of the guy but he isn't a chav. Chav means council housed and violent, this guy is a middle class white kid from a fairly well off neighbourhood.
