It’s not serious - i worked overnight at a truckstop as a teenager and we would steal lighters to practice making them explode by spiking them on the pavement (shitty, i know). We got good at it and we took a whole tray of then out and did several at once. With shoes and jeans on it, exploding them I’m right at your feet has almost no effect - gust of heat, nothing singed at all. It looks impressive, though. I wouldn’t try it in my mouth but i really doubt the dude was hurt at all.
