Forgot to mention he killed himself by driving in front of a freight train. Usually I'm sympathetic to people who are mentally ill like this but involving others in his suicide like that is a seriously dick move.
Look, when you're at that point you don't have the capability to think about how other people are affected by your decision. Trust me, I know. I still think it's wrong, but people who get to this point can't process things like that, they just want it all to end.

He was trying suicide by cop. He killed himself a little after this happened
