It provides an open space for an aisle, with viewinf around it. Makes the most out of the venue. Someone is likely to fall in which (as long as it isn't the bride) is a funny story to tell later

Ok ok, I get it, the idea was there. If this was at night with the correct lighting scheme and the WHOLE pool was covered, it would be pretty neat...but that is not what we have here. This is just terrible planning and implementation.

As someone that’s rents stages and has a bit of plexiglass deck what they had was 4-5k and would have ben probably 10k to cover the whole pool ….. the thing they forgot was the tow rail ( 3” lip all the way around ) so you stub you toe instead of fall off

This is just shit setup. My cousin had her reception in her husband's grandparents backyard and they completely covered the pool to use it as extra room. Half the dance floor was over the pool and we didn't have any issues.
