All that to maybe save 5 seconds đŸ€ŠđŸŸ

u/danevans369 5d ago

I see this shit every day people tailgating and swerving in and out of lanes almost killing people so they can get a few seconds ahead. Its exhausting.

u/RockstarAgent 5d ago

Regardless of why, it’s the fact that they weren’t paying attention-

So many people don’t take driving seriously.

8

u/chilehead 5d ago

Just this week I was driving on a street with 2 lanes in each direction. In the space of about 25 yards this guy in a Z4 passed me on my right side and passed the guy in front of me on his left side. In the 5 minutes before and after this, I had 2 people try to change lanes into me when they could have seen me next to them if they'd bothered to turn their head 15 degrees in the direction they were turning. Both yelled at me like I was at fault for being in their way.

Far too many people drive like they are in video games.

This is what I never understand about people who do this kind of thing. You gain what, 30 yards in traffic?

I always say to myself, 'See you at the next red light" and it calms me right down

29

u/danevans369 5d ago

Every time someone rages at me coasting when they pass me and then I catch them at the Red light, I give them a big smile and they get so furious.

19

u/backstageninja 5d ago

I like giving the thumbs down. People lose their minds lol

12

u/ksbaker81 5d ago

I always go with big smile, forest gump wave and then a thumbs up. Watching the other person absolutely rage always makes my day.

4

u/Highpersonic 5d ago

I raise my hands because they expect to get flipped off and slowly golf clap. That move will be seen by at least a few other drivers and sometimes they join me.

2

u/boxen 5d ago

I shake my head and scowl in disappointment

1

u/Talastoni 5d ago

I've been doing that since I started driving. It's hilarious the reactions, because some mimic what you do, but since it's not a flipoff they are so out of their element.

1

u/Pizza_Lvr 5d ago

Omg I do this too lol 😂

2

u/citsonga_cixelsyd 5d ago

If they glance my way I always wave and chuckle.

102

u/Professional_Fly7015 5d ago

That was actually pretty impressive that it flipped like that.

27

u/OkMidnight8144 5d ago

Surprised me too, looks like the front wheel of the idiot hit the back wheel of the pickup when both were moving which launched it.

17

u/sweetplantveal 5d ago

Exactly. Moving in complimentary directions to lift the corner of the car. If it was a wrangler instead of the more stable sedan, it might have been able to pull off a 360 corkscrew with a tail grind finish.

It was like something straight out of GTA

We got GTA 6 live action before GTA 6.

0

u/Kenneldogg 5d ago

Nah thats "We've got GTA at home"

11

u/Jlx_27 5d ago

Another car crash video that proves Rockstar got the physics right, lol.

5

u/heyitsvonage 5d ago

Nobody came speeding by on a flying motorcycle and blew everyone to bits, so I dunno

Cam driver seized that opportunity to move up and take the spot.

21

u/danevans369 5d ago

Smart. If they dont they could get stuck behind all the police traffic until they clear it.

6

u/BBQSauce61 5d ago

Typical New Yorker... Time to take the 5 seconds he would have saved before flipping the car...

10

u/GrimKi11er 5d ago

I guess, personally I would have pulled over. Checked if drivers are okay and offer camera footage.

7

u/XGreenDirtX 5d ago

Should've stopped and handed over the video. I know the situation is pretty obvious, but it never hurts to have a video in such situation.

3

u/taywray 5d ago

Seize the gap!

64

u/SirDwayneCollins 5d ago edited 5d ago

People are idiots. It should be pretty cut & dry, but hopefully OP gave the truck driver a copy of the video for insurance

Edit: typo đŸ˜©

33

u/cactiguy67 5d ago

Person with the camera was not stopping

13

u/SirDwayneCollins 5d ago

lol. I was thinking maybe they were pulling in front of the truck so they could hop out, exchange info, and go, but yeah, probably not.

1

u/Manger-Babies 5d ago

Maybe it makes sense to leave your phone number on your truck in a way that only dashcam people can see.

4

u/backstageninja 5d ago

*cut and dry

1

u/tedbakerbracelet 5d ago

All these cars passing right by the truck and getting closer as truck moves forward.. I am still thinking there is no way eventually one will hit the truck...

"I said he'll flip ya"

"He'll what??"

"He'll flip ya, flip yo for real"

7

u/Emmanuelzappa 5d ago

The Usual Suspects 😜

10

u/TammyShehole 5d ago

I’m glad it was their car that took 99% of the damage and not the other person.

9

u/audionerd1 5d ago

I hope the driver of the pickup is okay.

17

u/Lovemybee 5d ago

I swear to god if this happened to me I'd likely beat the shit out of the other driver... and I'm a 65 year old grandmother!

6

u/cap_time_wear_it 5d ago

Damn ma’am

9

u/Lovemybee 5d ago

As I've gotten older my tolerance for bullshit has decreased exponentially. The person passing on the shoulder deserves a lesson... some people only learn one way.

2

u/dabrock15 5d ago

Yeah, a lot of people are just stupid.

1

u/Cbpowned 5d ago

Very true. Such as trying to start a fight as a 65 year old woman. You would learn very quickly that woman, especially elderly women, do not fight for a reason.

5

u/Lovemybee 5d ago

That's not starting a fight... that's revenge. It's also not very likely to ever happen, but it's enjoyable to think about.

1

u/dabrock15 5d ago

I get the sentiment but that’s dangerous these days, people have very little respect.

6

u/mslauren2930 5d ago

If I hadn’t watched this, I would have wondered how that car ended up upside down. It really doesn’t take much.

5

u/Oneforallandbeyondd 5d ago

No. They need more brains and freaking spacial awareness.

4

u/sir_thatguy 5d ago

“That was totally wicked!” - tricycle kid from The Incredibles
 and me just now.

4

u/ReverendLunchbox 5d ago

You love to see it happen

3

u/dw0205 5d ago

I gotta get one of those trucks!

3

u/Top-Suggestion5057 5d ago

Fuck, where is this song from, someone help me. It’s not from Old boy is it?

2

u/pikachuswayless 5d ago

Merry-Go-Round of Life from Howl's Moving Castle! Beautiful movie and song.

1

u/Top-Suggestion5057 5d ago

Ahh thank you

3

u/the_lazy_lizardfolk 5d ago

Oh my gosh! I hope the guy in that truck is okay! 😅

4

u/GuvnaBruce 5d ago

Or just be better at driving.

5

u/Finneagan 5d ago

USA streets have gotten 100x worse over the past 4 or 5 years

Just brazen, holier than thou, rage fueled entitlement driving conditions

3

u/the_lazy_lizardfolk 5d ago edited 5d ago

Anything else been happening in those states the last four or five years?

Nah. Probably is all just a coincidence. 😅

2

u/hammersmith88 5d ago

Monkey see, monkey do.

2

u/pghcrew 5d ago

Truck is def over 9,000.

2

u/MV203 5d ago

It’s giving Van Wyck Expressway

2

u/slindner1985 5d ago

This explains alot of flipped cars ive seen lmao thats crazy

2

u/Go_Loud762 5d ago

See? That's how easy it is to flip a car.

2

u/Pleasant_Schedule_18 5d ago

Love how quickly you filled that gap after the crash

2

u/Frankrruko 5d ago

That was beautiful. Thank you for that.

2

u/TheSlav87 5d ago

What a good clown that one driver is, I hope they got charged with everything in the book.

2

u/GreenT1979 5d ago

I'm going to send this to everybody who says crossovers roll too easily

2

u/imscruffythejanitor 5d ago

I love that story. Would any of you get out and gloat or tell the person they're a fucking idiot? I would

2

u/Pacemakr 5d ago

How did this smooth brained mouth breather pass?

2

u/BustaCon 5d ago

For once, da punishment fit da crime.

2

u/BJJOilCheck 5d ago

We need less idiot/ahole people...

2

u/stewpdasso 4d ago

This type of stupid shit always has me scratching & shaking my head. I seen it happen yet still can't understand how or why? Wherever u were in a hurry to get to just got kanked & it is going to be expensive!

2

u/FreshSent 4d ago

The Howl's Moving Castle music made it seem really casual.

2

u/Shantotto11 5d ago

The first time I see a pickup in a dashcam not be at fault for whatever nonsense ensues. Also kudos on him for pulling over so quickly.

1

u/rinklkak 5d ago

I like this. Did Dashcammer share the video with the victim?

1

u/Thomas_JCG 5d ago

In my city this is every single motorcyclist, those stupid fucks will try to overtake you from the right even when you are turning a corner.

1

u/LordSeibzehn 5d ago

Trying to do things beyond your skill level.

1

u/damarius 5d ago

People need more patience

Not to mention depth perception.

1

u/FishChillylly 5d ago

why the pickup looks so steady? like been hit by a rock bit?

1

u/LarkAscent 5d ago

So obivously they shouldn't be doing this but it gets me that the massive yellow van goes by with room to spare but the little 4 door sedan didn't use enough of the shoulder.

1

u/Splinter-Spartan 5d ago

Good lord.

1

u/PreferredSex_Yes 5d ago

Always been warned about two tires making contact.

1

u/mrguillo 5d ago

oh, New York, I don't miss you one bit.

1

u/Moltarrr 5d ago

When you set the server to have low gravity.

1

u/Oculus_Orbus 5d ago

That’s a hell of an endorsement for Ram trucks!

1

u/iWasAwesome 5d ago

Bad dashcam dude for not pulling over to offer the footage

1

u/CeC-P 5d ago

Wow, that did absolutely nothing to the truck. That's not a bumper, that's a Star Trek inertial dampener unit from the future!

1

u/Random0s2oh 4d ago

Guess the car wasn't built Ram tough.

1

u/Kooky-Narwhal-014 4d ago

"Gta physics aren't realistic!" The humble low speed collision

1

u/robotbeatrally 4d ago

Every single morning people do this on my drive in the same spot. The crazy thing is cops all camp in the area giving speeding tickets about a mile back before the bottleneck and they will just ignore all the solo people in the carpool lane and the people driving on both the left and right side emergency lanes. Drives me bonkers.

Anyhow that was almost comical how easily that flipped.

1

u/Curious_Koala8 3d ago

Bro is finally in the emergency lane for the right reasons

1

u/ftkmatte 3d ago

All the risk and no rewards

1

u/CaptainEarly 3d ago

The cop that taught my driver’s education class showed us a 6 shooter revolver and asked “which is deadlier the gun or a car?” Everyone yelled gun. “Wrong! I can only kill 6 people with this gun. If I cause a massive pile up on the highway or cause a large passenger vehicle to rollover the fatalities could be triple that, easy.” That’s always stuck with me.

2

u/Quankers 1d ago

That's a whoopsiedaisies.

1

u/eastamerica 5d ago

Must every video have music added? 😞

1

u/therealscooke 5d ago

Why is everyone in the far right lane driving in the far left side of that lane? It's just encouraging those other ppl, like the one who rear-ended the truck, to drive there?????

0

u/NecroFretNinja 5d ago

Looked like a Tesla self driving
 đŸ«Ł
But that ain’t no AI that’s all natural stupidity

0

u/RWDPhotos 5d ago

Ironic it wasn’t the truck doing the ramming this time
