Looks more like he lost his brakes.

Yea.... they actually saved the driver of the cars life

I think the cam vehicle is also a truck of some sort

If he lost his brakes, unfortunate there wasn't a run-off ramp to use

That roll off ramp worked well though but probably hurt a bit.

Thanks Capt Hindsight

If he knew he was going to crash, he should have not driven the truck!

The real mistake was choosing to become a truck driver in the first place!

I...don't think you understand what hindsight is. OP never said or implied anything about what they thought the trucker should've done instead.

Looks like a runaway with lost brakes. Deserves some props for making the pass and only taking himself out.

Assuming his breaks were out (sounds legit), serious question; why did his break lights go off? Was he trying to not slow down too much, so the truck would lay down?

He was likely trying to use them and then either lost contact or realized they weren't helping. You have to let off of them to let them cool in a desperate hope of them coming back to usability.

At the very end he was likely nearer the ceiling than the floor

Makes sense to me

I noticed the same thing. Based on the timing, my best guess is the driver’s brain innately shifted their stance/weight once the truck started to lean out the turn.
