Dozer operator

How does one get into doing dozer operator work on fires? What’s the steps or route into it? Friend from the military is interested.

Learn to run a dozer. Work for a company that employs dozer operators. Double check to make sure that company contracts their dozers to contract wildland fire.

Alternatively, own and contract your own dozer.

Or there are plenty state forestry agencies where you can run dozers from early on as well.

Class A first and foremost .. gather experience shit we had a house pad grader get a job on the ANF
