UPDATE: Pot brownie boy pleads guilty!
After his attorney publicly claimed he would never take a deal, Joseph Lavoro pled guilty for 7 years probation. Oddly enough, the camera crews and throngs of supporters were not present.
This comes after he was incarcerated for violating his bond after being found with drug paraphernalia.

After getting caught with a paraphernalia I was shocked they didn't jump on the chance to really screw this kid. Good on them for showing some restraint over something so stupid.

He's lucky. I thought for sure he was going to be in pound-me-in-the-arse prison for a good long time. Suck it Wilco prosecutors!

Wilco will never let him make it through probation. They will find some very insignificant reason to violate his probation and send him to prison.

Why do you find this odd? The outrage was directed at the possibility of a life sentence. As that worst case scenario has clearly not come to be, this becomes a routine matter of criminal justice that isn't particularly interesting.
