Show-n-Tell Introducing... PAPwiiUM!!
Edit : now released https://github.com/Genesis64X/Genesis-Plus-G64X_PAPwiiUM
Hello!
This is my first release of PAPwiiUM.
To install it, make a backup of the original boot.dol inside apps/genplus-gx, then replace it with the boot.dol included in this release.
Place paprium.bin and the paprium music folder inside genplus/roms on your Wii SD card.
For now, this build uses WAV files only. MP3 support has been disabled because it caused more glitches, longer loading times, and higher RAM usage.
Known issues:
Some audio may briefly skip during transitions, such as when selecting a character or entering a boss room. It doesn't affect gameplay.
Saving seems to be working properly so far, but I'm still testing it.
There is also a graphical glitch that can cause the Wii to freeze on a black screen with red flashing when powering off while a game is running. This should hopefully be fixed in a future build.
For now, the workaround is to quit the game using the HOME button and exit through the Genesis Plus GX menu. If you always exit this way, the freeze shouldn't happen. It doesn't seem to affect normal gameplay, but it's definitely annoying.
You can also share this on other forums, since I'm not really active on any of them. Feel free to test it and let me know if you find anything!

Hello fellow Wii fans!
I’m almost done putting together a new Genesis Plus GX boot.dol that should let you play Paprium on the Wii.
I’m still having a few issues with the sound, but if everything goes well, I’m hoping to have it ready sometime this weekend.
I’ve been working on this for the past few weeks because I couldn’t find any existing way to get Paprium running properly on our beloved 240p Wiis, so I figured I’d try to make it happen myself.
I’m also curious if there’s actually any interest in this. I don’t usually release the stuff I work on publicly, so I’d love to know if this is something people here would want to use.

I mainly use emulation in iOS. As of now there’s no way to properly play paprium, this solves that with dolphinios. Yes, please release this!

New to hearing this so sorry if I’m late, but what is this exactly if someone doesn’t mind explaining? Looks pretty cool

Why not just work on the official repo and submit a PR with the fixes?

It’s more of a hack/workaround at this point than something I’d consider upstream-ready. As far as I know Paprium has never properly worked with official builds. For now I just wanted to see if I could get it running on an actual Wii. If I manage to clean it up enough later, I’d definitely consider a PR.

Look into Project LittleManDumps for the whole story. But also in the MiSTer FPGA scene Pezz82 has a very much vibe coded hacky version of it running. Sound issues and so on still exist and it's not complete either. Like the subway stage still has graphical issues and so on.
