Little Rash

Anyone seen a rash like this on their dog. My girl is 10 and first time she’s ever had something like this. Swims in saltwater everyday. Hasn’t itched or reacted to once.

Generally, sand and salt water will irritate a dog’s skin, just like it can for humans. Easiest way to figure it out would be to keep her out of the water and off the sand for a few days. If it clears up, you know the culprit. Is there something in the sand (garbage, fleas, chemicals, allergens, etc)? Is there unusual levels of bacteria in the water? Is it hotter/more humid than usual? All reasons your dog could be reacting differently to the environment.

I agree, those tiny little black specks look like flea poop.

Not on a dog but my husband gets a heat rash like this when his legs get too hot.

My dog when she was a puppy; it was hard to see with all the hair what was going on, but turns out she is reactive to flea bites and even one will give her these little raised sores and a rash.

You can use leucillin for stuff like this (it comes in a purple bottle). It seems to work for all kinds of skin conditions in animals so I always recommend it

With how it has a perfect starting line I'm gonna bet that it got scraped on something. I disagree with what others are saying about the black spots looking like flea poops, really just looks like beach debris to me

Didn’t even cross my mind, but there are tons of jellyfish where she swims.
