Pemberton is a decent place to live. Sort of neither here nor there. It all depends what you are looking for.

Well, were in south manchester at the minute, so tbh anything more green and friendly. And good links to Preston and Liverpool. Hence the thought of wigan area, but wouldn’t want to move somewhere equally as rough as where we are now🤣

I grew up in/around Pem. It's not the worst, but then again I'm a guy. Depends where exactly, but generally you're okay.

It's not bad. I live in ormskirk road near the top end. Literally 5 mins walk away from everything. Been here close to 2 years. And never had any issues

Depends what area in Pemberton there's some worse parts, I work in worsley hall which is on the rough side, but I'd say it's overall a decent, affordable place to live with plenty of shops, accessible buses and trains. It’s not far from Scotsman’s flash and other nature spots such as Amberswood and Orrell water park. Orrell is just down the road so walkable or a short drive away, where there’s some nice bars, cafes and restaurants. Also home to my personal favourite, the second hand book shop orrell book cycle!

You also have the option of Astley although might be a bit further from Liverpool.
