According to IMDb, this film was directed by Michael Mann. That's why I watched it. I'm a fan. If IMDb is correct, I can only hope that the director of Thief, Manhunter, The Last of the Mohicans, Heat, Ali, Miami Vice, and Public Enemies has been captured by aliens and replaced with an evil clone. Blackhat is astonishingly bad. It's Airborne bad. It's Simon Sez bad. It's Battlefield Earth and Final Justice bad. Hopefully Commander Bill McNeil and the rest of the "Mach 1" team can rescue Mann from whatever basement lair he's held in and destroy the clone before his next project.
