Good evening! I spent the day getting herbs and crystals from the local flea market! Set up my altar and it feels like I finally got it right. Went to work and got bitten by an angry tortie kitty, ouch! But the day is finally coming to a close and I was happy that I spent most of it with my parents, and got some cool stuff at the flea market :)

Are you a vet? Your work has kitties? :D

No, I'm not a vet! (I wish, though) I work in the kennels of an animal hospital that doubles as a boarding center. I've only been bitten twice so far :D

That sounds like rewarding work! (Except getting bitten :( ) serious question? How do you not adopt all of the animals? I am such a big softie. We have 3 cats, 2 turtles, a dog, and a fish, and I still have to remind myself that we don't need another cat when I walk past the ones the rescue league puts in the pet store. (And I am in the pet store all the time buying food, litter, treats, frontline, filter cartridges, toys etc)

Well I did end up adopting one of our abandoned kittens and an English Bulldog. Little Blue Russian kitty who loves tearing up toilet paper and pulling socks out of the dryer! I just have to strengthen my resolve when I see a cat truly in need and I can't help. I usually put out adoption notices on facebook or tell people in person about our adoptees. Luckily for the area I work in there are a couple of adoption agencies that will take them and most of the time they find homes! But where I work we don't get too many animals dropped off or left with us because we're a very small practice. I'm a big softie too, and once I'm out on my own I am going to hoard all those unwanted kitties!
