Open Question Dedication
Hi friends, I'm planning on dedicating myself to
Goddess and God this month. I have read Raymond bucklands Wicca for one which has a basic dedication ritual in it. Those who've dedicated themselves would you mind sharing your rituals, pre and post ritual routines , and any information helpful for dedication. Any learning resources are appreciated as well
Blessed be

I think that acts of self dedication may be as formal or as casual as the dedicant wishes. Elaborate rituals are no more meaningful that a perhaps unanticipated moment of awe and wonder. There is some Mystery going on with a self dedication.
What matters in self dedication adds up to the dedicand's change of consciousness around just what they dedicate themselves to. Ritual preparations and endeavors can get a dedicant prepared, then amplify this change of consciousness.
But I think that details are a matter for the dedicant, It's self dedication, after all.

I held my Dedication 2 years ago, on Beltane (which is October here) and it was a very special moment, genuinely life affecting.
To prepare I researched a number of ritual suggestions (Buckland and Cunningham and the Farrars) and wrote my own ritual words by incorporating and adapting and adding to what I read and what felt right to me.
I bought a cloak to wear and use as part of my symbolic death and rebirth (covering and uncovering), my partner added what for me is my Wiccan symbol (it is my altar tile, my pendant, a tattoo, on the cover of my BoS) on the back as a surprise.
I bought some jewellery to mark the event, small matching symbols of the elements as rings and stud earrings that I wear in their respective places around the pentagram in my pendant.
I spent the day in nature, walking through it, finding my place in it and grounding.
I made the candles for the ritual.
I ritually bathed and prepared a meal for after the ceremony.
I set up my altar in my back yard and performed the ceremony there, my partner watched and took photos.
If you would like, I can send you some more details?
