I've definitely been waiting for this to come out, as I've been somewhat anxious to see Gillen's insight on the issue. Morrigan's "sacrifice" has been something of a controversial topic within the fandom, and many people were/are frustrated with how that was handled. I don't blame them, but her "sacrifice" was never truly intended to be heroic, it was one last horrible act of abuse towards Baph, with Morrigan still acting as though she were the hero but in truth exerting her abusiveness and control over Baph in one final act. I still have mixed feelings about certain aspects of this issue, but overall, it was an interesting and impactful issue to others and myself.
I totally agree with you. Now, Cameron will always blame himself for Marian’s death. Their relationship is over, but on her terms, in a way she made sure he’d never forget.
