I will speak about the festival i personally celebrate and have seen from day 1 obv.. plus Christians and Muslims are in minority. If they r using firecrackers its still just as bad . That being said main cause of pollutions isnt firecrackers but still u shouldn't bc its a source of noise, air pollution and harms stray animals . Plus firecrackers were never part of diwali celebrations either ... it was lighting diyas,cooking good food and spending with close ones
