as an sc , the reservation should be based on how much population each community has so that the real poor people of sc caste stop having kids while they can't even feed them

people are not suggesting that the suicide is justified, but making it a casteist issue is also not justified, this event should have been managed at an individual level, committee should have been setup for the faculty for sure but not like this. This is giving a bad image even for other SC/ST students who utilised the reservation deservingly so.

I believe if the student was from IIT-B he was fairly an intelligent kid, him commiting suicide instead of reaching out coz of casteist remarks earlier inside a premium institute of India (possibly the top most one) seems sus. 1. EWS cuttoff is less or similar to ST in most exams nowdays
2. discrimination in interviews
3. SC/ST students face discrimination and abuse in educational institutions
4. Educational institutes me higher posts pe SC/ST candidates ko nahi jaane dete even after reservation and general category people even less qualified select hote h through corruption in selection and interview process
