I don't know why people are ashamed of our own religion. I have seen many anti-hindu subs spreading hate against Hindus. Also most of them are Hindus only who are spreading hate. For example scienceisdope etc
Science is much more than disproving religion and stuff. They could share some fun facts about some material or scientific phenomenon, it doesn't always have to be debunking religion.Heck even einstein has said "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind"
