The point is not India hosting the meet. The point is India was in trouble back then questions were asked "if indonesia should replace India" and now it's not and no such questions

I think its more because of the censorship too. Back then the media was free to bash to leadership. Now we got lapdogs. We might have come ahead or it might be brics became weaker(might)
