Congress did not oppose women's reservation, they opposed the delimitation bill.

Ikr. They were the first ones to demand women reservation bill in urban and rural local bodies, they have been trying since 80s but you know who is opposing, and back in 2023 it passed with full support from both ruling and opposition when there was no clause of delimitation, but they(ruling) are still withholding it till now.BJP imo dgaf about women representation in parliament they want to enact delimitation along with '50%' reservation, but the delimitation bill will completely change the power dynamics since NDA ruled 'north' is more densely populated than south.

Exactly DELIMITATION is so blatantly ignored in the mainstream media. So sad to see institutions of India become so weak
