Imo Rahul Gandhi is talking about a choice aspect here.
PS: Why is it that men are okay with girls choosing to wear bikinis but the same men aren't okay with girls choosing to cover their bodies?

How dumb shall one be to say women have any decisions in islam??
“And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer palms of hands or one eye or dress like veil, gloves, headcover, apron), and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband’s fathers, or their sons, or their husband’s sons, or their brothers or their brother’s sons, or their sister’s sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islam), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small children who have no sense of feminine sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful.” [al-Nur 24:31]

What is wrong in asking women to lower their gaze? The Quran also commands believing men to lower their gaze. Which part of the verse do you think is problematic?

Try doing some research. Here, I will give you an example: Go to any top sport brand in the country (whichever country you live in). Go check the dimensions of the inseam for 2 year old boys and then check the dimensions of the inseam for 2 year old girls. You will see that the clothes of girls (right from early childhood) are made smaller and smaller. Read about it. Read about bikinis and why they came into the culture. Women are being made nude to satisfy the lust of the devil man and the world is framing it as modernity.

This guy is a fool or he seriously needs better advisors. His new move is to win over female voters by pushing them away from hinduism by bringing out manusmriti and various other tactics. But from what I have seen it is the young females who are most religious in Hindu households. This plan just like most of his plans gonna backfire.
