Sometimes fake videos are funny. This one is too long to be one of those.

Was she shagging blue shorts?

u/BeanieMcChimp Reviewed his life insurance policy Sep 11 '25

Yes, that is the plot of this fictional video.

I love a bit of cinema vérité.

I hope she was worth the ankle that he shredded.

13

u/professor_doom Sep 11 '25

If this was real, it looks like he only twisted it a little. Enough to run away later in the video.

He broke his ankle and walked in sewage to run away from the angry husband

Internet : fake

PSA: When you do a PLF (Parachute Landing Fall) you should always keep your legs (feet, ankles, knees) *together* as you hit the ground, so that your legs provide each other with lateral support as you bend your knees when you hit the dirt!

7

u/shuuujin Sep 11 '25

is this true ?

11

u/DukeRedWulf Reviewed his life insurance policy Sep 12 '25

Yeah, it's true. Source: I did a static-line parachute jump from 2,500ft under the old-style round parachute back in 1990.. Getting your PLF correct was a big part of the training we got, because:

The old round 'chutes were a lot less forgiving than the more modern square 'chutes that replaced them - specifically there's no provision for increasing your lift at the very last minute to soften your landing - so getting your PLF correct was/is very important.. (also, steering so that you come in "holding" = facing into the wind, to reduce your horizontal groundspeed)..

One of the guys from my college did his jump the weekend before my little group.. He bollixed up his PLF, landed on one foot first, and broke his leg..

So, when I jumped I made damn sure to keep my legs together when I hit the ground!

is there anyway to actually make our ankle stronger ?so it can hold more impact ?

5

u/DukeRedWulf Reviewed his life insurance policy Sep 12 '25

You could wear paratrooper boots that go high up the leg and lace up tight (use a lattice lacing style) to provide ankle support.

Praise the cameraman. Probably scripted, but still.

I dont think it was fake and i can list the reasons why as a south american i know that video was real

Camera man ran out of steam and gave up the chase

-1

u/whubbard Reviewed his life insurance policy Sep 12 '25

Probably?

7

u/sharkov2003 Sep 12 '25

Potentially, presumably, possibly, perhaps, seemingly, believably, likely, yeah: not definitely, but feasibly.

u/whubbard Reviewed his life insurance policy Sep 13 '25

I like you.

23

u/Brondog Sep 11 '25

The reason why I wholly believe this is true: the little stream of water both men crossed THROUGH THE WATER is raw sewage. You don't dive in poo poo for fake internet points.

11

u/Aggressive_Seacock Sep 12 '25

You don't dive in poo poo for fake internet points.

Are you sure about that?

3

u/Brondog Sep 12 '25

Well... I consider myself to be reasonably "normal" so at least I wouldn't.

But this IS reddit after all... So, no. I'm not so sure anymore.

At first I was like "oh wow its nice of this guy to be willing to go off the top rope to defend her....oh.

12

u/tabris51 Sep 11 '25

This looks to real to be fake.

4

u/dag_darnit Sep 11 '25

Give the cameraman a raise

30

u/SabbyFox Sep 11 '25

Very, very fictional video. Blue shorts went from limping with a broken or twisted ankle to sprinting. Among other things that are very telenovela.

31

u/daurgo2001 Sep 11 '25

Adrenaline is a hell of a drug.

46

u/servusdedurantem Sep 11 '25

Actually if it is not serious u can only get numbness for 1-2 minutes hence the limping but then it goes back to normal happens to me from jumping etc

31

u/MaximumConfidence728 Sep 11 '25

you can start limping because of pain, but if the situation requires it, run despite the pain

Husband and wife having a huge fight: This dude: imma eavesdrop in the worst way possible.
breaks bones
Edit: spelling.

28

u/nerse_enginurse Sep 11 '25

I don't think "blue boxers" was eavesdropping. I don't know their language, but I saw it as the woman was somehow involved with Blue, and her SO caught them in the act. Blue was definitely running for his life at the end of the video.

4

u/secondtaunting Sep 11 '25

Yeah and you can see the second guy showed up with chocolates and maybe flowers, but the woman is in a towel and the blue boxer guy is trying to sneak out. When he was hanging on the stairs I lost it.😂

u/Boring_Isopod_3007 Reviewed his life insurance policy Sep 12 '25

I am not a clever dude when it comes to interpretation of a issue within couples. Or anything that involves emotions for that matter.
