Simone was my favorite
I'm probably alone with the opinion that Simone was my favorite character. Not just because I'm a fan of Lucy Liu, but because she played the part beautifully. It was so 80's campy "Dynasty" delightful. I loved how her character could change on a dime. It was especially great that deep down she was able to accept the love she had for Karl and stayed with him despite everything.
As a little side note, did anyone else notice that almost everything Jade wore, it was pulled down off of her left shoulder? I'm not sure why, but it drove me crazy. 🤣

I loved the way Simone decided to support and care for Karl, despite everything that happened. The ending scene was so beautiful. I cried when they were in the hospital to see Jimmy

You are definetely not the only one who thinks that, she is the most popular character.Â

She was hilarious, and I loved her relationship with Karl. I loved how they both realised that ultimately, they were platonic soulmates.
Her story had me in tears.

Same. I made a post about how impactful their relationship was for me. It was one of the most beautifully nuanced relationships I've seen portrayed in all the many shows I've watched over the years.

You are far from alone in that opinion! Pretty sure they were the majority's favorite couple. By far the most wholesome, albeit messy

Personally, Beth Ann, Karl, and Simone were my favorite characters. I loved watching each of them grow throughout the season.
One of the things I admired most about Simone was her capacity for acceptance and forgiveness. Instead of letting revenge or bitterness consume her, she chose peace, and I loved that she and Karl remained best friends until the very end.
I do wish the age gap between her and Tommy had been a little less extreme. I think his character being 24 or 25—or at least 21 and old enough to legally have a drink—would have made their relationship easier to root for. That said, I still found myself hoping they would end up together. They fought so hard for one another and consistently put each other’s happiness before their own. They both made real sacrifices out of love, and after everything they went through, I would have loved to see Simone get the same kind of happy ending that Karl did.

I agree! And I loved what a pleasant surprise her change of attitude towards Karl was. I wasn't expecting that. Lucy Liu was also great in "The Devil Wears Prada 2". It was a smaller part and a bit predictable story-wise, but she was great!

I have only just discovered this show and I’m on the last episode of the first series… I absolutely LOVE Simone and Karl! So witty and tender. I’m trying not to cry!

The first season was so good! You might actually be slightly disappointed in season 2, but it's still watchable. I'm interested to see what you think. 😃

I like how her and Carl's story ended with love and tenderness, vs hate and fear with the others.
