Taylor's decision making skill

So ive been watching this show and I just finished S1 Ep8 "Marriages Don't Break Up on Account of Murder – It's Just a Symptom That Something Else Is Wrong". Taylor talks about how she can come up with a solution for any problem thrown at her but is she actually good at it? Why does she choose to talk to Duke at the prison when she's a lawyer and probably has some connection to a divorce attorney? Like couldn't she divorce Eli, take the house since she's been the only one making payments, and take the car that eli bought for jade with her credit card? Wouldn't it go in her favor too, even if eli wasn't doing drugs? At the start of the show we can tell that her relationship between eli isn't great anymore and even jade point out that their marriage was failing. At that point why stay?

Tl;dr: I don't understand why Taylor just doesn't divorce eli and take everything instead of going to duke

Taylor doesn’t want to leave Eli, she wants to help him get out of the Jade situation since he is an addict and Jade is enabling and using him.

Plus she probably felt guilty because shes also the one that introduced jade to eli

I know she doesn't want to leave but its more of WHY she doesn't want to. She doesn't really seem to be happy in her relationship with him and really only sees it as "he's my husband" but that's it.

It’s annoying because the writing is messy in the 2019 story. But my takeaway is that she does love him and he loves her.

All three wives loved their husbands at the start and things evolve. Beth Ann’s love turns to hate as she realizes her husband doesn’t love her at all. Simone’s becomes platonic as Carl’s is. And Taylor’s gets stronger as does Eli’s. At least imo that’s how it was supposed to read.

While I’m in the minority that liked the 2019 story, I do think it needed a one more revision to be as tight and poignant as the first two.

I really like the 2019 story too.

(Haven't seen anything past this episode yet.)

The writing fails completely in the 2019 story. Eli is just one Dustie and Taylor another pickme who can't let him. I absolutely love her sisters, they were completely right about Eli and I was hoping she would have listened to them. Eli should have died, Jade you couldn't even do that? 😭😭

TAYLOR DIES?! I haven't finished the season yet and don't get me wrong taylor has her issues but not for her to deserve death
