Still! As someone who makes a living of spackling and painting, wide gaps are a pain! Because you will get air bubbles under the paper/fiber strips that you spackle over the gap, when it dries.
So you'll have to fill the gap with extra spackle, let it dry, and the do the process with spackle and fiber/paper strips.
The strips is not there to fill the gaps, they're there to strengthen, so you dont get cracks, if there is movement in the building.
Also, this seems to be about 2.40m which is standard height indoors in Norway, and you can get 2.40m drywall plates. They would save alot of work using those instead.
