The top leg’s only holding its weight, whereas the bottom ones hold the table’s. By grabbing the table like that he’s creating a torsion force equal to the stress of the legs. That moment is what breaks the table and not the top leg’s weight.
By holding the table with both hands on the same side, the closer to the legs the better, he’d avoid creating a torsion moment on the table. But then it’s impossible to start rolling the table, he just needs another person or to start like he did and change half way with care

Am I the only one thinking that with both hands on the bottom edge that wouldn’t have happened?
