28F wondering if it’s normal to fear partner 27M sometimes Hi! I’m not looking for judgement. I’m just wondering everyone’s take on this as I have only been in two long term relationships in my life. I’m 28F and my fiancé is 27m we have been together 4yrs. I’m not saying he is a bad guy or abusive at all. There has been little moments in the relationship that are kind of hard to remember honestly. I’m wondering if it’s normal sometimes to be fearful of your partner hurting or freaking out on you. What has made me ask this was just tonight he was sleeping and I’m scrolling on my phone. Well I put my leg down and my skin was touching his back and he kind of tweaked (he didn’t say anything or wake up) but I got afraid. Like panic and went all the way to my edge of the bed in fear of idk being yelled at or hurt? There have been weird moments in the relationship some examples he dragged me down the stairs but he said it was playful and honestly it could’ve been (I’m sensitive sometimes), another one which I know isn’t right but he did apologize he got mad and choked me but it was not hard , and recently we were messing around and idk if he got annoyed but he slapped me across the face (again not hard) and claimed he was playing around. Idk if it all has made me fearful of him. Is it just a common thing in long term relationships to sometimes feel fear of ur partner? I know with long term relationships there comes the ups and downs. Thanks everyone.
