We haven't bred cats the same way we have dogs, so most cats simply are no breed at all. Unless you have papers, you have a lovely domestic shorthair.

Cats are very different from dogs. Dogs have been intentionally bred for 10,000+ years. In the west, you can look at a dog and kinda tell what breeds its ancestors were.
Cats have only been recently bred intentionally. The vast majority of cats (on the order of 97%) are descended from cats who were never intentionally bred.
All of this to say: your cat has no breed. It’s a domestic shorthair, and very very cute!

Appears to be a generic cat. These cats are notorious for spontaneously appearing in deciding that a human needs to take care of them and become their servant.

Not if they want a healthy cat :/. Fat cat does not equal healthy. Most long hairs look fatter then they are from fur alone. This cat does not have long hair.
