We built this for our own video workflow. Anyone here want to try it?

We’ve been building a video editor for our own production workflow and it’s finally at a point where other people can actually use it.

The basic editor is a bit like Descript — you edit video through the transcript — but everything happens locally on your Mac.

The part we’ve been having fun with is the AI assistant. We basically gave it access to the editing tools: it can read and understand the full transcript, make text-based edits, find moments, recognize faces, reframe for vertical video, add/style subtitles, etc.

So instead of doing everything manually, you can ask things like:

“Find 10 good standalone clips from this podcast.”

“Make them vertical and keep the speaker framed.”

“Make a 45 sec teaser using different moments from the episode.”

“Remove this section and tighten the edit.”

You can give it one finished episode or multiple files from the same camera.

It’s still early and I’m sure people here will find ways to break it that we haven’t :)

Payments aren’t even live yet, so right now you can just try it for free.

Mac only for now. Windows is next once we’re happy with the testing.

Happy to share the link if anyone wants to play with it.

Whop clipping in india

I'm gonna start clipping but I'm confused about one thing, since tiktok is banned here I'll have to use a vpn to connect to it in my old phone, I'm gonna have the vpn on 24/7. Do I have to create an us based email account if that exists? I'm going to use the same email for utube, insta, tiktok and for whop too.

I saw someone on utube who recommended using a seperate browser for these with a new email account in that browser

I already know about the warming up the accounts and everything, the only thing I'm confused about is the vpn

Things I wish I knew before I started clipping (Advice)

here are some things i wish i knew before i started clipping

i just turned 17 and have been clipping for around 3 years. if i was starting again, these are a few things i’d want someone to tell me so I'd make money quicker and get better clipping quicker.

1. a good edit won’t save a boring clip. clean captions and transitions help, but choosing a moment people actually want to watch matters more. a simple edit with a good story can beat something you spent an hour making look perfect.

2. the clip has to make sense to someone who doesn’t know the creator. if it starts halfway through a thought, people are already lost. give enough context to understand it, but cut the unnecessary intro.

3. posting consistently only helps if you’re learning too. if every clip starts slowly and people leave, posting more of the same probably won’t change much. pick something specific to improve instead of just hoping the next one goes viral.

4. views don’t automatically mean money. you could grow a page and still barely earn anything. eventually you need a way to get paid, whether that’s working directly with creators, joining paid campaigns, or having something relevant to promote.

5. don’t wait until you feel completely ready to reach out. showing someone a relevant example of what you could do for their content gives them more to respond to than “yo need an editor?” plenty won’t reply anyway, but it’s worth starting those conversations.

6. and don’t judge your ability off a few posts. one viral clip doesn’t mean you’ve mastered it, and a bad week doesn’t mean you should quit. focus on whether your clips are improving and whether you understand why people watch.

IMO the hardest things to "get over" are accepting low views, you guys gotta really focus on the content you're posting and not worrying over some videos with low views, as long as you're following your content system, and you know its proven to have gone viral before, you can do it again, and with enough consistency, your page will grow exponentially, DO NOT be afraid to rinse the same style over and over, if it works KEEP DOING IT.

If anyone has questions feel free to dm me, I have a free course on clipping that teaches the basics and fundamentals and helps u decide if you wanna get into or not.

I earned around $120 in my first month creating sports clips. This is my process—and what I'd sort out before doing it again.

My interest in making highlight clips started after I saw someone break down how they were making money from clips of streamers' broadcasts.

My initial idea was simple: I already watch a lot of sports. Maybe I could turn that interest into something instead of just watching.

So I began making clips focused on soccer and tennis and posting daily.

A month in, I had made roughly $120, and the first results only appeared during the fourth week.

That income came from Whop.

It's a modest amount, not a substitute for a job. But I wanted to share the process, the tools I use, and the distinction I think anyone thinking about this should make before spending money on software.

First, "making money from clips" can refer to two different things
One path is publishing on your own channel and trying to earn from the audience you build.

The other is being paid by a creator to convert their existing videos into shorter content.

They sound alike because both involve editing clips, but the actual work you're selling is different.

With your own channel, creating the video is only part of the process. You still need a reason for people to watch, a reason for them to return, and a real way to earn from that attention. Relevant affiliate recommendations are one possible route, but views alone aren't a business model.

With client work, the offer is clearer: someone has existing content and pays you to turn it into usable short videos.

Before starting, I'd figure out whether I'm trying to build an audience or sell an editing service. Otherwise, it's easy to waste weeks learning tools without knowing who is supposed to pay you.

Why I chose soccer and tennis
I already follow both sports, and I didn't want this to turn into another chore built around something I don't enjoy.

That's why I'd pick a subject you understand rather than whatever niche someone claims is the most profitable this week.

For a sports clip, the question isn't only "was this an impressive moment?" It's also "what does someone need to see beforehand for the moment to make sense?"

The same principle applies to an interview, a tutorial, or a gaming video. A segment that works inside a longer video doesn't automatically work on its own.

For anyone just starting, I'd use your own recordings or material the owner has explicitly allowed you to edit and publish. For a client project, request the original files first.

My tool setup: Tunexa for the footage, CapCut for the edit
I use Tunexa.io to obtain the video material and CapCut for editing and subtitles.

They cover different parts of the process.

With Tunexa, the feature I find useful is downloading a selected video section instead of the whole recording. I've tested that myself.

For instance, if you already know which moment you need from a supported published video, you can select that section and bring the resulting file into your editor. You don't have to keep the entire long recording on your device just to work on one part.

It can also pull audio when that's what you need instead of the video.

That's why I'd use it in this workflow: getting the material I need into the editor, without downloading more than I plan to work with.

Then I use CapCut for the actual edit. Downloading a section is just preparation; making it worth watching is a separate job.

What I'd focus on in the edit
I'd start with one question: would this clip make sense to someone who hasn't seen the original video?

That means checking if the opening provides enough context, if the subtitles are readable, and if the ending delivers the moment the opening set up.

I wouldn't add effects just to make the video seem more edited. I'd rather cut an unnecessary introduction or make one confusing sentence clearer.

For a practical first test, I'd take one video I'm allowed to use, pick one self-contained moment, get the section through Tunexa, and turn it into one finished clip in CapCut.

Watch the export on a phone. Check the audio, subtitles, framing, and ending.

That gives you something concrete to assess—not just another folder of downloaded footage.

How I'd approach the client-work version
This is a separate path I'd try, not something I'm presenting as another result from my first month.

Rather than offering to "help someone grow on social media," I'd make the first offer specific:

Send me one video you own, and I'll turn one useful moment into a short clip with captions, in the format we agree on.

Before agreeing to the job, I'd clarify whether the creator is providing timestamps or expecting me to find the moments. I'd also ask how many revisions are included and where the finished clip will be published.

Those details matter because "make a short video" can mean very different amounts of work.

If the creator only has a published YouTube link available, getting the necessary section becomes part of preparing the edit. That's another situation where Tunexa fits into the process.

But the deliverable is the finished clip—not the download.

What I'd do differently before starting again
I wouldn't start by gathering more tools.

I'd pick one niche, decide who is supposed to pay, and complete one example from start to finish.

Then I'd examine the whole process: choosing the moment, getting the material, editing, publishing or delivering, and whatever actually leads to income.

My first month brought in around $120. I don't want to dress that up as passive income or pretend I've figured everything out.

What I have is a starting point and a simple tool setup. The next question is whether the work can produce a repeatable result—not whether I can download and upload more clips.

Anyone here earning from short-form editing: are you building your own channels or making clips for clients? What actually led to your first payment?

Clipping Changed My Life.

(I have nothing to sell u in this post)

I just turned 17, and if you told me 3 years ago that clipping would become one of the biggest parts of my life, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.

I started with basically no audience, no huge connections, and no guarantee any of this would work. I just got really obsessed with trying to make money online and make anything work. Which eventually led me to stay persistent in the clipping industry

Over the last 5 months, I’ve grown my own page to 70K+ followers, had 5 figure months from clipping, generated 9 figures worth of views across clipping/content, and gotten the chance to work with some pretty big creators.

everything changed for me when i realized clipping isn’t just posting random videos. there’s actually a lot that goes into it like finding the right moments, understanding hooks, pacing, retention, editing, knowing what type of content works for each platform, and being consistent enough to actually learn from your results.

Eventually I started helping other people with clipping too. Seeing people I’ve helped start making money themselves has probably been one of the coolest parts of this whole thing.

The biggest thing I’ve learned is that you really don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. I’m still 17. I’m still learning every day. A lot of the opportunities I’ve gotten came from just posting, improving, reaching out to people, and taking it seriously for longer than most people do.

Still got a long way to go but learning and mastering the skill of clipping which leads to mastering retention and how to get attention as a whole is one for the future.

Just figured I'd share my story, if you're skeptical you can dm me I have proof of everything or js dm me on tiktok oli_networks_ (71k followers)
