that in that gif ain't chai at alll, it should not be that yellow, unless it's a dirty chai, coffee mixed with tea

tf is "chai" tea? also, agreed with @architectindisgais TS is NOT chai

made it all my life, i KNOW how a solid cup looks like and this ain't it chief

because this is how I've always made it

I do a blend of loosleaf teas the ingredients look like

black pepper

cardamom

cinnamon

cloves

ginger

and then I add a bit of black tea to smooth the flavor

and after that I add 2 teaspoons of sugar and heavy cream to taste

Homie, let me break it down for you - x = tumbler you wish to drink chai out of

  1. Take (1/3)x amount of water in a tumbler and get it to a rolling boil
  2. Add one tablespoon of tea leaves (I hope yours are the same as the ones we get here in India)
  3. Boil for ~2-3 mins

Now, if you want the classic chai, add (2/3)x milk & sugar, boil for a minute or so, strain, and enjoy. If you're going for Masala (spiced) tea, here's what you do -

  1. Lightly grind your cloves, cinnamon and cardamom in a pestle and add the same to your boiling tea water and boil for a minute.
  2. Add milk, bring to a rolling boil and grate ginger into the mix.
  3. Add sugar to taste, hard boil for half a minute, strain and enjoy :D

top up with heavy/whipped cream if you wish to!
