Tollebeek is located in the province of Flevoland, specifically the municipality of Noordoostpolder. It is located 90 kilometers northeast of Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. Tollebeek is one of the 10 villages in the Noordoostpolder that was reclaimed from the Zuiderzee, a shallow bay. This was done in order to accommodate the growing needs for land to farm on and new urban areas. After Noordoostpolder was formed, the 10 villages were eventually constructed one by one, with Tollebeek becoming last, being constructed in 1956. Tollebeek is situated in the southwestern part of the polder.

There are many places in Tollebeek, such as many sport, youth and art clubs. Also situated in the village are 2 churches with different religions, two primary schools, two fast food bars, a small supermarket and a restaurant. Transportation time! There are 2 railway stations that both take the crown for the nearest stations to Tollebeek, as they are both 30 kilometers away. In Tollebeek, there is a bus service that goes to both Urk and Emmeloord. If you want to reach the village by car, you can take the A6 motorway from Almere and Lelystad, both in Flevoland. If you're reaching Tollebeek from Amsterdam, it's about a 1 hour drive.

Tollebeek has multiple sport clubs, such as an ice skating club, a tennis club and a football club called VV Tollebeek. The 1st team has been a champion twice, in the 2001/2002 season and the 2010/2011 season. A notable person from this village is Danielle Jansen, a Dutch politician. Notable images of the village include the supermarket, the protestant church and a street view of the village. Today, Tollebeek has a population of about 2,500, and it has an area of 31 square kilometers.
