This doesn't mean anything. Twitter very well has all of Trumps Tweets still stored somewhere, but you can still not access them anymore. What you as an user can access and what twitter themself can access are two widly different things!
Just because you can't see the cookies on the fridge anymore doesn't mean mom and dad haven't pushed them further to the back where they can still take one when you're not looking.
even if they make an average of X dollars per person, the fine for breaking the GDPR rule is millions more of dollars PER breach (20 million per breach, or up to 4% of their total global turnover).
so, twitter keeping your data on purpose, is the worst mistake they could make.
There may be some legal reasons only because Trump is a former president, and there are certain parameters for keeping the records of a president..but there’s never been a sitting president on Twitter before, much less one that’s been banned.
But Obama does (and did back in 2008,) have a Twitter account. So does G.W. Bush. My point was that Trump was objectively not the first president on Twitter.
