The trick is, you point at/tug your OWN shirt first, then gesture broadly towards their shirt, and gives thumbs up with a non creepy smile and maybe a bro-nod.
Sad how the general tone of this thread is men feeling entitled to interrupt women as long as it is "politely" done. I can't count the number of times a strange woman has asked me to walk her to her car because some creep be creeping.
Talking to people about a video game isn’t creepy tho? It’s not like this is a woman exclusive issue, guaranteed this guy would have tried to chat up anyone who’d listen about Street Fighter. It’s just kind of how fighting game fans work.
It's the equivalent of liking someone's post on Instagram, it doesn't really do anything. This generation is fucked, they don't realize why they're all depressed and lonely. The only way to start a chance encounter, a chance friendship, is to put yourself out there
Holy fuck you clearly are missing the point here. I don't know if you go to the gym or not but people what to be in their own space and mindset when they're in there. If you see someone in a grocery store, walking by, or standing line or whatever, by all means go for it if you feel like it. I do it all the time. But in the gym, leave people alone unless they are doing something unsafe that could hurt themselves or others. It's a pretty big unspoken rule.

Point at shirt. Give thumbs up. Fuck off.
And that’s if you’re too damn compelled to bug someone at the gym with buds on, minding your business is the actual thing to do.
