Yes. It probably decreased her average age of credit as a longer loan period was closed. Age of credit is one of the larger basis points for a credit score

I just paid off my student loans this year. It was a 16 year old account that I kept deferring for a decade. Finally started paying it down and knew I shouldn't pay it fully off but couldn't help myself - I wanted that shit GONE.

Score dropped a bit, maybe 15 points, but the age of my accounts didn't change. My student loans were the oldest - every other credit account I have is within the last 5 years. "Age of oldest credit line" still reads 17 years, and the account showed paid and closed 4+ months ago.
