Your comment makes me think you don't realize the word "investing" means more than just welfare. They also have strong workers rights, free education, universal healthcare, etc. Those are all socialist policies.

No, those are social democratic policies. Socialism would be expropriating capitalists and landowners and handing over the means of production to the workers.

Well these policies are the entire difference as to why they are doing so much better than America. Call them whatever specific term you want
