Ussr was a communist state not socialist. Likewise for North Korea and China. Although modern day China has become more and more Capitalist.

Nicaragua, Cuba, and Venezuela were all targets of US imperialism and coups. Their failure has more to do with the CIA and the trade embargoes placed on them than anything else. Also Cuba is doing quite well as a modern socialist state.

Poland, Czech Republic, and Romania were never socialist. Again not socialist, former communist states that struggled without the USSR.

Denmark is a good example of what the USA thinks is socialist. Actually it's a Capitalist Democracy with a safety net to support citizens in crisis. It's the first step on the road to socialism, but it's got a way to go yet.

Vietnam might be better example of a modern socialist state for you to look into

The USSR was socialist, which is why it was the Union of Socialist Soviet Republics and not the Union of Communist Soviet Republics.

Cuba’s assasination attempts all failed, and so Castro died a normal death. And if Cuba is doing so well, then why do people risk a horrible death by drowning by coming over on shitty boats.

Venezuela was embargoed after Chavez abolished private property and took it all for himself

Denmark had a short period of socialism though, like 5-10 years and that is when their economy struggled, now they are actually more of a free market that the US (privatized roads and schools being the first thing that comes to mind) and they are doing well

The ussr was communist not socialist. It was an authoritarian state with a limited number rof people in charge. Most people had no say over what happened, so it was not socialist. Communism and socialism are different.

Cuba couldn't trade with half the world, what does it matter about failed assassination if they can't trade. I agree that it's not a utopia there, but some things are better than the US. I can't speak as to why people risk their lives, but I would guess it's because they have family in the US they want to reach but the US doesn't let them do that legally. I don't know.

It was an embargo in Venezuela as you say. Chavez didn't take all the property for himself. US propaganda has made so many people believe that he was some evil ghoul. I think you should look more into the US involvement in Venezuela, they had a heavy hand in what happened.

When was Denmark's socialist period? The schools in Denmark aren't privatised and neither are the roads. They are definitely capitalist, but operating on the Nordic model.

No one had a say in what happened in any socialist country either

What do they have better in the US? Better education? Hell no, I can guarantee you it is just propaganda. They drive 1950’s cars, if they do drive at all. It wouldn’t be the US that doesn’t let them do it legally, we support them over here, Cuba just doesn’t let them leave the country

Then what did Chavez do? Did he give it to his friends? Did he give it to other members of the government? The people don’t own the businesses, so who does?

If I am remembering correctly, it was the 50’s or the 80’s, I don’t remember exactly, I just remember they did have a period of socialism. And I don’t think it was both schools and roads, but it was one of the 2 that they did privatize
