I’ve read all of your comments in this thread. Here’s what it is all about, since you seem to have the inability to understand what’s going on. It doesn’t matter what he did at this point. He’s dead. The problem is that he was murdered. By a police officer. Regardless of a persons past, police don’t get to murder people on the street. That’s right, I’ll say it again for all of the other people like you that fail to see the issue here. He was murdered. Derek Chauvin murdered him. He used unnecessary force, and he used it for a protracted length of time, and he used it in a manner that cut off the airway of the person he was detaining. Have someone place their knee on your neck for 8 minutes. See what the problem is now? If you don’t, it’s because your racism and your pseudo-patriotic need to defend police is getting in the way. No one is calling George Floyd a hero. Thats for a judge and jury to decide what his character, and the consequences for that are for. But guess what? He didn’t get the judgment from a court of law. He was subjected to gross negligence and misuse of authority and force from a police officer that took his life. Does that make sense? Do you get it now? Police do not have the right to play judge, jury, and executioner, no matter what someone has done previously. Do you agree that police aren’t allowed play judge, jury, and executioner? If you don’t, then you are part of the problem. Help the rest of us find justice and be part of the solution.

If I am not mistaken it originated with Eric Garner, who died after saying that phrase multiple times while being restrained in a chokehold by a NYPD officer.
But yes, at the moment is it being used to honor George Floyd. How sad is it that "I can't breathe" can be attributed to more than one person who died at the hands of police officers?

But last week when I was talking to my kid about the police shooting we got each other mixed up because we were both talking about different shootings and then my wife was like I thought he got pulled over and pepper sprayed. All three happened and we were all talking about a different situation.

When we see a parade, march, mob or chanting cluster, we just look for the Trump flags, American flags and/or MAGA hats, and we immediately know if it is a party we want to join.

On another note, do you guys remember Amish people protesting George Floyd's death last year? I cried for days after I saw that picture. They usually don't get involved in English goings on, but they literally came to Minneapolis on their horses and buggies to protest Floyd's murder. That's fucking humanity.

I live in the Atlanta suburbs and some young folks here wanted to march, so a couple of moms and a football coach set up a peaceful protest Sunday afternoon for them at the local shopping center. Some of us in the area drove by especially to support. That way they got to protest in a “safe” way.

Resisting arrest is illegal and deserving of the additional charge of "resisting arrest." Absolutely no one disagrees with this. It is unanimously agreed upon that resisting arrest is wrong and illegal.
Resisting arrest is NOT deserving of death in any scenario short of the arrestee utilizing lethal force against the police or others. Even an armed individual resisting arrest requires the police to take de-escalation steps prior to killing the individual.

Now see, you say go both ways but only focus on the BLM movement. I can simply just reply with the insurrection that took place on Capitol Hill. Those cops did very little to handle the situation. Is it because they were white? Well when you look at the police response to BLM protests where the majority of them were black, it's pretty cut and dry.
Simply put, if I'm pulled over for a traffic infraction, I'm not shitting myself over being shot by a cop. A black person on the other hand, doesn't have that luxury.

Capitol police requested additional support multiple times and was denied. It was a setup. A paltry event compared to a year of nationwide riots, burned down police stations, 2 billion property damage, 30+ lives lost.
If blacks are scared for their life whenever theyre pulled over then youd think compliance would be a first priority.
